Save the Children’s mission is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. Save the Children programs focus on Education, Health, Child Rights Governance, Child Protection and Humanitarian. We work with government partners and local NGOs to improve children’s live especially marginalized and disadvantaged children. Save the Children is looking for a qualified and motivated candidate to fill in the position of below.
The Purpose of the Role
The Fundraising, Awards Management and Communications (FAMC) Department is responsible for producing a high volume of English-language materials including reports, newsletters, case studies, case stories, fact sheets, brochures and other promotional materials.
To support the production of exceptionally high quality English-language communications materials, Save the Children is seeking a Communications Development & Quality Volunteer with native or equivalent proficiency English and excellent writing and editing skills.
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal, computer and organizational skills.
- Native English speaker or equivalent level of English is essential.
- Creative, adaptable and flexible with strong research skills.
- Able to give creative input to the format and content of written materials.
- BA in journalism or communications would be an asset but is not mandatory.
- At least two years of experience in a related field, particularly communications, creative arts or social media management, would be an asset.
- Keen interest in working in the development sector is essential.
